Kids can walk through real train cars (one even simulates the feel and sound of a moving train), and there's a model train room with detailed dioramas plus a Thomas the Tank Engine layout that younger railfans will love. The museum is clean, well-staffed with friendly and knowledgeable guides, and sized reasonably for the admission price, making it doable in a single visit without feeling rushed. Note that the Golden Hour Express evening train ride is a separate, adults-oriented add-on (drink tokens included) rather than part of the standard museum visit, so plan accordingly if traveling with kids.
