Plan on three to four hours to properly explore the USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, and the Medal of Honor Museum, with parking as an extra cost that can add pressure to your visit. Kids seem genuinely engaged by the interactive displays, aircraft, and self-guided tours, though one reviewer suggests ages 10 and up given the many steep ladders, tight low-ceilinged spaces, and lots of walking—not ideal for very young kids or anyone who tires easily. Wear comfortable shoes, and note that dust and mold in some areas bothered at least one visitor with allergies.
