What families say
Free admission and parking make this an easy pick for budget-conscious homeschool trips, and the Glass Pavilion demo along with the Antiquities room (Egyptian, Greek, Roman) are standout kid-pleasers worth planning around. Note that as of late 2025/early 2026 much of the museum is closed for renovation, so families may only get an hour or so of galleries to explore rather than a full day—worth calling ahead to see what's currently open before you go. Special exhibits run about $10/person if you want more than the free general collection.
