The scenic loop drive takes about two hours with photo stops and works well as a self-guided trip, with well-maintained trails for families wanting to hike too. Keep in mind the visitor center has specific hours (one family arrived at 5pm and missed it), wind can be strong, and nearby Medora may have limited services in early spring, so plan accordingly.
