What families say

Families rave about the jaw-dropping scenery along Going-to-the-Sun Road—waterfalls, wildflowers, mountain reflections, and wildlife like mountain goats and deer—with plenty of pull-offs for photos and easy trails to stretch legs. Plan for a full day or more (one family logged 10 hours of driving and hiking), pack good hiking boots and water, and book campsites, horseback riding, or other activities in advance since cell signal is basically nonexistent inside the park. Checking the park website for road openings and daily conditions before you go is also recommended, especially if visiting early in the season.
