Families love this park for its mix of easy and challenging trails (like the half-mile Bear Lake Loop up through Dream Lake and Alberta Falls) plus frequent wildlife sightings—deer, moose, marmots—often visible right from the road, making it workable for a range of ages. Plan for a full day if possible: parking and entry can fill up, so arriving early is key, and one reviewer lost most of their visit to a late 12pm entry. Bring your own food and water since altitude hits hard, but note that restrooms (composting-style) and helpful park staff are available at most sightseeing spots.
