What families say

Families rave about the Cliff Palace guided tour and the museum, which does a great job explaining Ancestral Puebloan history in a way that sparks curiosity in kids. Note that tour tickets can be hard to get, so book through the NPS website in advance, and consider visiting before tours open in May if you just want to see the cliffs without the crowds (though you'll miss going inside). Fall colors add a nice bonus if timing allows, and even without a tour, the visitor center and views make it worthwhile.
