Curriculum Finder

It doesn't end at a recommendation.

Every other curriculum quiz tells you what to buy and stops there. Ours is the front door to the system that runs your whole year. Here's how it works.

What makes it different

A finder that's wired into the rest of your homeschool.

The other quizzes out there are content and affiliate sites — they hand you a list and disappear. The match is the last thing they do for you. For us it's the first.

Pick a curriculum here and it flows straight into the tools that actually run the year — the planner that paces it out, the logbook that records it, the portfolio that proves it, and the filings that keep your state happy. No other matcher can do that without building an entire platform underneath it.

Planner
Your pick is paced across the school year — long days, light days, holidays and all.
Logbook
Finished lessons land in the record automatically, by subject and date.
Portfolio
Hours, work samples, and a year-end artifact — ready when an evaluator asks.
Filings
Notice of Intent and state requirements, tracked from the same family profile.

Under the hood

A few quick questions. Then a transparent scorer weighs every curriculum for your family.

01

It weighs everything you tell it

A short quiz — each child's grade and subjects, how much time you really have, how hands-on you want to be, your budget, faith preference, approach, and any dealbreakers. A transparent scorer weighs the whole catalog against all of it at once, per child. Grade, subject, and faith are hard requirements; your dealbreaker checkboxes are filters, and stated learning differences shape the ranking — not afterthoughts.

02

It ranks the whole catalog, honestly

Not a canned list — it scores every one of the nearly 1,100 curricula in our catalog on how well it actually fits this child and returns the top five, each with plain reasons it fits and one honest caveat about what to watch before committing. When the truthful answer is that nothing is a great match, it says so and tells you what kind of program to go find instead.

Grounded, not a black box: every pick is a real curriculum from our vetted catalog, ranked by a published weighted formula — the scorer can only rank what's there, never invent a product — and every pick is pinned back to that catalog's real price, subjects, and product link. Nothing is pay-to-rank. The whole thing is free — no account needed to see your matches.

The parts that matter most

Built for real families, with real history.

Per child, not per family.

Each kid is matched on their own — their grade, their subjects, their description. One pass through the quiz scores every child separately, so your 2nd grader and your 8th grader each get answers that fit them, not an average of the household.

It learns from your curriculum graveyard.

Every veteran homeschooler has a shelf of regret. Tell us what already flopped and we won't just drop that program — we down-rank everything that fails the same way, so you don't buy its cousin and live the same year twice.

Describe your kid in plain words.

No box fits every child, so we let you write instead of just tick. Learning differences, anxiety, a wildly uneven profile, an hour-a-day reality — say it however it actually is, and the match reads it.

It will tell you when nothing fits.

When the honest answer is that nothing in the catalog is a great match for this child, it says so — and tells you what kind of program to go looking for instead.

It shows its work — and the downside.

Every pick comes with plain reasons it fits and a candid note drawn from that program’s real weak spots. Not a sales pitch — a second opinion you can argue with.

What goes into the match

Five short steps. Only the essentials required.

Answer only what you know. We never penalize a blank — leave a field empty and the match simply leans on the answers you did give.

Each child
Grade, the subjects you need (or all-in-one), a subject they find hard and one they love — and the free-text box to describe them however you like.
Your situation & style
Where you're coming from, how much time you really have each day, how hands-on you want to be, how much prep and structure you want, and any approach you're drawn to.
The practical stuff
Budget per subject per year and your faith preference — secular, Christian, or either is fine.
What didn't work
Optionally, a curriculum that already flopped and what went wrong with it — so we steer clear of a repeat.

Where our loyalty sits

No sponsors. No pay-to-rank. No guarantees we can't keep.

Nothing is ranked higher because a publisher paid for it — every result earns its place purely on fit with your family, and if your favorite isn't in our catalog, we'll add it. Some of the “Get it” links are affiliate links, so we may earn a small commission at no cost to you — but a referral never moves a curriculum up the list or onto it. The ranking only ever sees fit.

And we'll always call these what they are: starting points, not a verdict. You know your kids better than any quiz does. We just try to get you to a much shorter, much smarter shortlist — then step back.

Ready?
